The Future of Volleyball is Here.

Nebraska lives and breathes volleyball. But in the heart of the sport’s biggest fanbase, thousands of kids are sidelined because there’s nowhere for them to play. The Nebraska for Volleyball (N4VB) facility changes that, creating space, opportunity and momentum for Lincoln’s future.

What We're Building

A cutting-edge indoor volleyball complex in Northeast Lincoln designed to expand access, grow talent and elevate the community.

Why it Matters

Volleyball is Who We Are.

Volleyball has shaped generations of Nebraska athletes. But right now, nearly 60% of young girls who want to play are left without the opportunity. Long waitlists, high travel costs and limited court space block access before the games even begin.

This facility opens the door for athletes AND the community.

Youth Access

Hundreds of kids served through free clinics, camps, and scholarships

Athlete Development

A training home for Nebraska’s next wave of talent

Local Growth

Increased sports tourism, hotel bookings, and restaurant traffic

National Spotlight

Elevating Lincoln’s role as the volleyball capital of the nation

Community Engagement

Built in partnership with Title I schools, nonprofits, and local clubs

Year-Round Impact

A facility designed for full-time play, growth, and community use

What's Next

PROJECT TIMELINE

This facility is being developed in partnership with the City of Lincoln through the Sports Arena Facility Financing Assistance Act and must pass two key approvals:

  1. State Review Panel (including the Governor)
  2. Lincoln Voter Approval via special election

Pending approvals, construction in Northeast Lincoln s expected to begin in the next 18–24 months.

I’m proud to support this facility, and–more importantly–the movement behind it. It’s a movement that says: Every kid deserves the chance to play. Every kid deserves the chance to dream big. Every kid deserves the chance to belong.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this raise taxes?

This is not a new or increased tax. Instead, the City of Lincoln would issue revenue bonds, which would be repaid using a portion of state sales tax generated by new economic activity within the designated turnback district around the proposed project. Additionally, the City does not pledge its credit to back the bonds, meaning taxpayers are not on the hook if revenues fall short.

The facility will be located at 30th Street and Folkways Boulevard in Lincoln.

The goal is to ensure broad access. While club teams will lease space to support operational revenue, N4VB will reserve time and resources specifically for public clinics, camps and outreach programs that are low- or no-cost for area youth.

N4VB will raise the remaining funds privately. No risk to taxpayers.

Nebraska for Volleyball. We’re a community-driven nonprofit on a mission to expand access to volleyball for every kid in Nebraska.
